We regret to inform you that Az Infinitum and the Azulejo Research Network website are still inaccessible due to the cyber attack on the University of Lisbon, which took place on the 30th of October. We do not yet know when it will be possible to re-establish access, nor under what conditions.

Organized by Grupo Amigos de Lisboa, the Colloquium "D. Manuel - Cartografia de um Reinado" begins today, which will take place at Forum Lisboa, in Lisbon, on the 11th and 12th of November.


The Colloquium counts with the participation of Clara Moura Soares, Professor and Researcher at ARTIS-IHA, with the communication "The restoration of the Jerónimos Monastery in the 19th century: between symbolism and architectural practice".

Os Mármores do Alentejo na Basílica de Nossa Senhora do Rosário de Fátima
 

(The Alentejo Marbles in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima)
 
As part of the PHIM project - Heritage and History of the Marble Industry, this virtual exhibition is dedicated to identifying the presence of Alentejo marbles in one of the best known Portuguese buildings on this and beyond its borders - the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, in Fátima. The initiative is an opportunity to share, with a more diversified audience, the results of the research work presented in July 2021 at the 7ICCH - Seventh International Congress on Construction History that took place in Lisbon.
