Sónia Duarte - International Congress «Mujeres en la iconografía musical: feminismo y construcciones de género»

Online and face-to-face registration for the International Congress "Women in Musical Iconography: feminism and gender constructions", which will take place at the Facultad de Geografía and Historia de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid between December 13th and 15th, 2021.

 
Sónia Duarte, Ph.D. researcher at ARTIS-IHA, will participate in the Congress with the presentation "Imagine how shocking it would be to see a woman playing the tambourine, fife or trumpet, or other similar instruments': portraits of female musicians in Portuguese paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries", on the Decemebr 14th.

On November 30th, the ARTIS doctoral researcher, Sónia Duarte, will participate in the «I Jornada de Innovación Educativa. Arte y Cultura Visual», Murcia University (Spain), with the work «Museos de arte en Portugal y Educación Musical».
 
Her work covers activities carried out in Portuguese museums with students and teachers of Music, Dance and Theater.
 
Enrollment runs until November 29th.

Rita A. Melro - International Conference - Relics 2021

 

Rita A. Melro, researcher and doctoral student at ARTIS, will participate, with the presentation: "Devotion and Artistic Production: Relics and reliquaries that were part of the sumptuous treasures of medieval Hispanic monarchs", in the 1st edition of the International Conference on Relic Studies - RelicS 2021 organized by CITAR in collaboration with the HERCULES Laboratory of the University of Évora.
The conference will take place at the School of Arts of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Porto, between the November 24th and 27th.
