This lecture will seek to trace a path through works by artists such as Robert Delaunay, László Moholy-Nagy, Dan Flavin, Alexandre Estrela and Hito Steyerl on different treatments of light. From the complexity of their representation to their production and presentation, the materiality of light and its absence as a rhythm or its ubiquity between the game, surveillance and the virtualization of the world are some of the themes raised by the works of these artists that will be debated and confronted.
