AzLab#68 | On the Shoulders of Giants
June 23rd, 2021 | 18h00 [Lisbon Time Zone - UTC+1] | via Zoom [session to be held in English]

On The Shoulders of Giants

AzLab#68 is not about azulejos! In a crossover with the last session of the 1st Course on Azulejo Studies - History of Portuguese Tile Decorations , we invited the editor of Iconclass and Arkyves, Hans Brandhorst, to present his most recent project: the digital edition of the monumental work Lexikon der christlichen Ikonographie - Lexicon of Christian Iconography (LCI), by Kirschbaum.

In this session, Hans Brandhorst will show how the LCI's contents relate to the digital reproductions of the works available online (originally, on paper, these reproductions were in black and white) and with the concepts used on Iconclass.

Registration via Google forms or by e-mail (redeazulejo@letras.ulisboa.pt).
Once the session is scheduled, each participant will receive the link and a password.

Register for this conference at Evenbrite. The deadline for registration is May 22, 2021.

Streaming live without registration will be available on the YouTube Channel of the CHAM- Centre for the Humanities, NOVA FCSH.
