Exhibition SOMNIUM ET MIRABILIA
October 14th, 2021 | 6pm | Carmo Archaeological Museum
On the October 14th at 6 pm, the MAC (Carmo Archaeological Museum) opens the collective Exhibition SOMNIUM ET MIRABILIA, which aims to reflect on the different ways that the Human Being has to experience the Dream, based on art.
The Exhibition will be open until November 17th, 2021.
Curatorial project by Célia Nunes Pereira (doctoral student ARTIS-IHA).
To flesh out this fine arts exhibition, 10 artists were invited, who offer us a set of works with a unique language, distinguished by their originality and high artistic quality, going beyond the conventional circuit offered by contemporary galleries.
The engraving on paper, "Papa-Asno" (c.1520), by Lucas Cranach (the old), which heads this invitation in poster mode, opens the way for a dive in the subconscious of each one of us, appealing to its manifesto and to its enjoyment.
It was within this universe of the unknown, where affections and disaffections commit us,
that Ana Carrondo, Ana Torrie, André Lemos, José Feitor, Luís Henriques, Miguel Carneiro, Neide Carreira, Ricardo Castro, Rui Bourbon, and Simão Martinez immersed themselves without limits, letting flow night after night what the vigil had the opportunity to offer them.
