In AzLab#55 colour will be highlighted! João Pernão, professor at the Lisbon School of Architecture and founding partner of the Portuguese Association of Colour, will address colour on the azulejo (tile) as an ephemeral and fleeting element, which finds in this medium "its field of choice for a sensory expression in perpetual alteration".

On January 30, at 7 pm, at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, watch the conversation in honor of Fernando Lemos, with Pedro Lapa, Filomena Serra, Frederico Duarte and Cláudio Garrudo, and moderation by Emília Tavares.
Jorge Silva Melo's documentary - Fernando Lemos - Como, Não é Retrato?, will be shown between 10 am and 6 pm in the Sonae room.
And a set of photographic works by Fernando Lemos will be on display, belonging to the Museum's collection.
On February 1, at 7pm, Contemporânea is delighted to invite you to the launch of issue #4 at Galeria Zé dos Bois (ZDB) in Lisbon. The fourth print-edition of Contemporânea Magazine explores and considers the expanding field of moving images within recent artistic praxis. It plots genealogies and contextualises new developments made possible by the advances of digital and network technology.

Throughout the eight sessions the decorative arts will be approached in multiple aspects.
Thus, attention will be devoted to different aspects of our relationship with the decorative arts: from study to realization, through commercialization, exhibition and, of course, enjoyment. The sessions will take place on Thursdays at the School of Arts and Humanities, except for the last one that will take place on a Saturday morning and will consist of a visit to the House-Museum Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves, in order to address in situ a situation of enjoyment of the decorative arts by a great collector.

The promoters of the Portuguese advertising azulejo project explain how this initiative was born, its objectives and the work done in its first year of existence. The session will also be attended by Lara Lourenço, an intern at the Azulejo Research Network and responsible for articulating the project contents with the system Az Infinitum.
