PhD IN ART HISTORY | APPLICATIONS 1ST SEMESTER 2024/25

The PhD in Art History comprises two alternative paths - Art History and Art, Heritage and Restoration - and is in line with ARTIS' main research foci, providing students with a unique opportunity to conduct research in the following areas:

1. Late Gothic Architecture;
2. Contemporary Art;
3. Decorative Arts;
4. Collectionism and Art Markets;
5. Azulejo Studies;
6. Intercultural Heritage.

Additionally, students writing theses related to ARTIS' strategic research fields may benefit from special funding to carry out their studies.
