HORIZON EUROPE: CALLS FOR CLUSTER 2 IN 2023 AND 2024

The calls for Cluster 2 - Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society of Pillar II of the Horizon Europe strategic plan (2021-2027) (cf. the portal Funding & Tenders Opportunities) focus on three main intervention areas:

- Democracy and Governance;
- European Cultural Heritage and the Cultural and Creative Industries;
- and Social and Economic Transformations.

Mobilizing multidisciplinary knowledge from the social and human sciences, Cluster 2 aims to contribute to the objectives and priorities of the European Union regarding (i) the strengthening of democratic governance and citizen participation, (ii) the protection and promotion of cultural heritage and (iii) the response to diverse social economic, technological and cultural transformations.

The calls for Cluster 2 include three kinds of actions:
- RIA - Research and Innovation Actions;
- CSA - Coordination and Support Actions;
- and IA - Innovation Actions.

Applications are open to partnerships composed of at least one independent legal entity from a member state and at least two other independent legal entities from different member states or associated countries. Other specificities about the composition of the partnerships may be indicated in the calls.

The applications for CSA actions can be submitted by one or more legal entities of a member state, an associated country or, in exceptional cases indicated in the calls, a third country.

The applications must be submitted electronically using the form made available for the purpose in the portal Funding & Tenders Opportunities.
