Tender for 30 Doctoral Scholarships in the Area of Cultural Heritage (June 1 to July 1, 2021)

 

Within the scope of the Science in Cultural Heritage Program, the DGPC (Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage) is opening a tender for the attribution of 30 research grants in the area of Cultural Heritage, under the FCT Research Grant Regulation (RBI) and the Scholarship Holder Statute Research (EBI).
 
ARTIS - Institute of Art History of the Schol of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon is associated with the initiative, as an institution that welcomes candidates seeking to develop their projects in the field of History of Art and Heritage Sciences.

The Ph.D. research grants are intended to finance research work leading to the attainment of the Ph.D. academic degree in Portuguese universities, in accredited doctoral programs in the related scientific areas mentioned in the notice. It seeks to stimulate research and development (R&D) activities in Portuguese museums, monuments, palaces, archaeological sites, under the responsibility of the DGPC, in order to develop, broaden and deepen the study of cultural heritage and collections, stimulating the intersection of scientific knowledge with the functions of conservation, investigation, enhancement and dissemination of cultural assets.
