ARTIS, the Art History Institute of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, through its programme ARTis PostGrad, promotes conferences and roundtables related to its postgraduation courses, as part of the different seminars available to the students.  


The aim of this programme is the promotion and debate of the programmatic contents of the 2nd and 3rd study cycles in Art History and Heritage, with the input of national and international teachers and researchers from other universities and research centres, in a collaborative and interdisciplinary way.

The first session of the conference cycle will have as invited speaker Professor Marize Malta, from the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (EBA | UFRJ), and will be dedicated to the theme "King John VI Museum: the beginning the ending and the midpoint of art in a university museum".
