The Portuguese overseas expansion left important traces in many parts of the world. Some of the most significant are the fortresses built by the Portuguese to defend their presence abroad.
APAC - Portuguese Association of the Friends of Castles and ARTIS - Art History Institute (FLUL) invite all interested to attend the conference series "Portuguese Fortresses Overseas", featuring various specialists in the area. The conferences will be held on Mondays at 6 pm in October and November, at the APAC headquarters. Admittance is free.
