Carlos Filipe
Cultural manager, with a license degree in Management, in the subfield of Event Planning, from ESG-IPCB; a specialization in History: Heritage and Cultural Projects from ISCTE-IUL; a master's degree in Modern and Contemporary History from the same institute; and a PhD in Art History from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon.
Integrated researcher at CECHAP and collaborating researcher at ARTIS-IHA and CLEPUL, in the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon; at CIDEHUS, in the University of Évora; and at the Centre for Global Studies of the Open University.
Director of CECHAP, the Centre for Culture, History, Art and Heritage Studies; member of SPEHC, the Portuguese Society for the History of Construction, and MINOM, the International Movement for a New Museology; director of IPPEM, the Institute of the Portuguese Patron Saint for Mariology Studies.
Author and co-author of the following research projects: "The Marble Route of the Anticline of Estremoz", "Heritage and the History of the Marble Industry", "CallipoArtes - Illustrious Figures from Vila Viçosa" and "Arts and Letters in Alentejo. Literary Tourism in the Municipalities of Borba, Estremoz and Vila Viçosa".
Author of several books and articles.
His main research areas include Art History, History of Architecture and Construction, Religious Heritage, History of the Ornamental Stone Industry, Industrial Archaeology and Documentation Sciences.
