Professional antiquarian in Lisbon and London (1984-1995) and former Board Secretary of the Portuguese Antiquarian Association.
Expert in the identification of works of art: Portuguese furniture, Portuguese-related art (furniture and sculpture); Portuguese faience; porcelain from the Vista Alegre factory.
Art valuer.
Founder (1996) and managing partner of ?Cabral Moncada Leilões? - Expert Appraisals, Valuations and Auctioneering, responsible for the technical department (identification, expert appraisals and valuations).
Board Secretary of APLARTE - Portuguese Association of Art Auctioneers.
Invited Professor at the Polytechnic of Tomar (since 1990), Catholic University, FLUL and ISCTE-IUL, where he teaches the module Furniture of Portuguese Origin, Identification of Cultural Assets, Expert Appraisals and Art Valuation and supervises master's theses.
Author of texts, articles and "entries" of published items in various periodical publications, proceedings of conferences and exhibition catalogues, as well as papers presented to different scientific events.
