Patrícia Ferrari


Patrícia Ferrari (b. 1994) is a PhD candidate in Art History at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, with a research grant awarded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (DFA/BD/5983/2020). Her doctoral research project is entitled Under the Spell of René Lalique: The Artist's Circle of Collectors and the Fate of his Works in Art Markets from the Late 19th Century to the Present. She holds a license degree in Art History from FLUL and a master's degree in Art Markets from ISCTE-IUL, with the dissertation René Lalique: the Artist, the Mystic and the Entrepreneur.
At ARTIS - Art History Institute, Patrícia Ferrari is part of the project ORION - Art Collections and Collectors in Portugal. Her research focuses on artistic works from the second half of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century, with a special emphasis on the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements, and particularly on the field of jewellery.
