Maria Emília Vaz Pacheco
Maria Emília Vaz Pacheco has a Ph.D. in Art History from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon with the thesis "A Trajectória do Auto-Retrato Pintado na História da Arte em Portugal - Da Emergência à Afirmação do Género, na Contemporaneidade, 1470-1975", under the guidance of Professor Vítor Serrão, Ph.D., and she has a Master's degree in Art History from the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities (part of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa), whose thesis was guided by Professor José-Augusto França, Ph.D., and published in 1993, under the title "Silva Porto e o Naturalismo em Portugal".
She had a scholarship from INIC in 1981, 1984 and 1985, and scholarship from the Ministry of Education in 1986 and 1987, until December 2013, she was a teacher in the Degree in Tourism at ISLA-Santarém, where she taught General History of the Arts, History of Art in Portugal, Portuguese History and Culture, Heritage, Introduction to Tourism, Event Organization and Applied Tourism Project. She was Coordinator of the Degree Course in Tourism.
